It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Stamford ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Hawley Bearcats. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Stamford is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Hawley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

As of now, neither Stamford nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
