Basketball Recap: Smithfield-Selma Comes Up Short

Smithfield-Selma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were outmatched by the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons and fell 70-36. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

James Bell was Smithfield-Selma's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Johnavon Cox took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

C.B. Aycock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaiden Williams, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zimere Mcclarin, who put up ten points.

Smithfield-Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for C.B. Aycock, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
