Basketball Recap: North Harrison Takes a Loss

North Harrison lost against Trinity Lutheran back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The North Harrison Cougars opened the new year with a less-than-successful 60-52 loss to the Trinity Lutheran Cougars. North Harrison has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel Bonde, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Bonde has become a key player for Trinity Lutheran: the team is 6-3 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Marley Warren, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

North Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Trinity Lutheran, their record now sits at 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Harrison will host Seymour at 1:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hauser at 7:30 p.m. Trinity Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.
