Basketball Recap: Riddle Takes a Loss

Riddle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the New Hope Christian Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Warriors are ranked 71st).

Riddle's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for New Hope Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riddle will take on North Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Douglas will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Riddle surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Hope Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Umpqua Valley Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
