            Softball Recap: Coronado Thunderbirds vs. Socorro Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight  loss. They lost  11-1 to the Socorro Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  21-4  back in March.
 Coronado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Farrah Macias, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double.
Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 9-24. As for Socorro, their victory was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 28-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coronado is set to  take on  their familiar foe Eastlake  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Socorro will  square off against  rival Montwood  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.4, the Rams 3.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
