Ferris had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Kennedale Wildcats by a score of 14-11. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ferris' victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Kennedale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ferris and Kennedale will both be playing Hillsboro the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
