Baseball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Dixie Flyers

For the second straight game, Pine View will face off against Dixie. The Panthers will face off against the Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pine View took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Dixie, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Flyers 3-2 on Tuesday.

Tristen Sylvester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Pine View is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Porter Campbell was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Dixie has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Pine View, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
