Basketball Game Preview: Haslett Vikings vs. Okemos Wolves

The Haslett Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Okemos Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Haslett is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

Haslett can't be too worried about heading out to take on Okemos: they just beat St. Johns at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Haslett came out on top against St. Johns by a score of 57-45 on Friday. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Redwings are ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Okemos came up short against East Lansing on Thursday and fell 55-46. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Haslett pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Okemos, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything came up roses for Haslett against Okemos in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the squad secured a 48-13 victory. Will Haslett repeat their success, or does Okemos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
