Andrews is 9-1 against Big Spring since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off,  the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m. Andrews has given up an average of 32.9  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Andrews managed to keep up with Bushland until halftime last Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs came up short against  the Falcons, falling  34-12. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Despite the  defeat, Andrews got top-tier performance from   JaeSean DeBouse, who rushed for 169 yards and two  touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. DeBouse's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
 Meanwhile, Big Spring was fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Kermit 49-14. That looming  49-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Steers yet this  season.
 Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Big Spring, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-1.
 Everything came up roses for Andrews against Big Spring in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  71-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
