Basketball Recap: Pekin Comes Up Short

Pekin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 67-30 defeat at the hands of the English Valleys Bears. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 48-18 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pekin's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for English Valleys, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

While Pekin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
