Lincoln faced Jefferson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The Patriots' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will challenge Roosevelt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rough Riders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Watertown on Friday.
