Basketball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Eastern Eagles

The Warren Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Eastern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Warren strolled past Point Pleasant with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 130th in Ohio, while the Big Blacks are ranked 579th in West Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Federal Hocking 72-34.

Warren's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Everything came up roses for Warren against Eastern when the teams last played back in February of 2020, as the squad secured a 75-32 win. In that contest, Warren amassed a halftime lead of 39-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
