Basketball Game Preview: Lowville Red Raiders vs. Holland Patent Golden Knights

The Lowville Red Raiders will take on the Holland Patent Golden Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lowville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging an 80-33 win over Pulaski. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Holland Patent strolled past Solvay with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-41. Given the Golden Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Bearcats are ranked 681st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lowville's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.1 points. As for Holland Patent, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
