Softball Recap: Manti Comes Up Short

Manti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Bountiful RedHawks, falling 9-2.

Manti saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Daniels, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Daniels also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Manti's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bountiful, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Manti will head out on the road to challenge Delta at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Manti their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Bountiful, they will welcome Viewmont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bountiful is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
