Basketball Recap: Granby Takes a Loss

Granby and Prospect Hill Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Granby had to settle for second. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prospect Hill Academy. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Prospect Hill Academy are ranked 86th).

Granby's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-2. As for Prospect Hill Academy, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Granby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prospect Hill Academy, they will challenge Maynard on Tuesday. Prospect Hill Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Maynard likes a good challenge.
