Baseball Recap: Bradley Central Has No Trouble Against Rhea County

Bradley Central never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Rhea County Golden Eagles 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Tucker Allen's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Spane Bristol was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jonathon Alomar, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Bradley Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rhea County only posted an OBP of .333.

Bradley Central's win bumped their record up to 7-8-1. As for Rhea County, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
