Softball Game Preview: W.S. Neal Eagles vs. Blacksher Bulldogs

W.S. Neal hasn't had much luck against Blacksher recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. W.S. Neal has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

W.S. Neal is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Prattville Christian Academy on Saturday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 18-1.

W.S. Neal saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Lucas, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Blacksher suffered their closest defeat since March 21st on Friday. They fell just short of Bryant by a score of 7-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emeri Ikner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kadence Dailey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

W.S. Neal's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Blacksher, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.
