Volleyball Recap: Ocoee Wins Going Away Against Evans

It's playoff time, and Ocoee had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Evans Trojans on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ocoee took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-13, 25-6.

Ocoee can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Barnes, who had 23 assists. Barnes has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Evans, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Coming up, Ocoee will challenge West Orange at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
