Basketball Recap: Havana Takes a Loss

Havana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Brimfield Indians, falling 65-35. While losing is never fun, the Ducks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Indians are ranked 177th).

Havana's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Brimfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Havana and Brown County will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brimfield will take on Wethersfield in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
