Baseball Recap: Licking Heights Comes Up Short

Licking Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the St. Charles Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Maxim Fink made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Caleb Starns was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Licking Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Charles, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Licking Heights will face off against Zanesville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles, they will challenge Thomas Worthington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
