Volleyball Recap: Roanoke-Benson Falls Short of Lexington in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Roanoke-Benson can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Lexington Minutemen on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Jordyn Tomlinson paced Roanoke-Benson's offense, picking up eight kills. Tomlinson got some help from Haley Hodel and her ten assists. Finally, Tomlinson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Roanoke-Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-24-1. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.

Roanoke-Benson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington, they will take on Midland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
