After soaring to 42 points the game before, Gordon Lee were a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 40-7 loss at the hands of Adairsville. Gordon Lee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Ridgeland, who are still winless after their eighth match. They took a serious blow against Ringgold on Friday, falling 35-7.
Gordon Lee's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ridgeland, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Gordon Lee against Ridgeland when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 49-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gordon Lee since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
