Baseball Recap: Woodcreek Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Woodcreek never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Ponderosa Bruins 6-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 last Tuesday.

Woodcreek got a great performance from Ayden Gomez as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Gomez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Woodcreek is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trace Murchinson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Aaron Palmer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
