Recap: Arkoma Mustangs vs. Heavener Wolves
This season hasn't been kind to the Arkoma Mustangs, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 59-21 defeat at the hands of Heavener on Friday. While losing is never fun, Arkoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Heavener is ranked 36th).
Among those leading the charge was Jackson Clubb, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Clubb's third in a row with at least ten points. Bryce Morrison was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Arkoma bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Heavener, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Arkoma will stay at home for another game and welcome Leflore at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Leflore comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Heavener and Savanna will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
