            Football Recap: Nampa Christian Trojans vs. New Plymouth Pilgrims        
        
		
        
        
            
Nampa Christian won the last time they faced New Plymouth and  Ian Johnson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans really took it to the Pilgrims for the full four quarters, racking up  a  52-7 win thanks in part to  Johnson, who rushed for 157 yards on only 11 carries, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. He is becoming a predictor of Nampa Christian's success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 Nampa Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Dylan O'Brien and  Johnson. Nampa Christian received some extra help from  Johnson, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The  victory (which was Nampa Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 40.8 points over those games. As for New Plymouth,  with the  defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
 Nampa Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Plymouth, they are taking a road trip to  take on Declo  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
