Football Game Preview: Somersworth Toppers vs. Gilford Golden Eagles

The Somersworth Toppers are taking a road trip to face off against the Gilford Golden Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Somersworth is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 18, 2024 on Friday. They lost 27-6 to Laconia. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Toppers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Gilford faced Campbell in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Saturday. The Golden Eagles were beaten by Campbell 34-7.

Gilford's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Somersworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
