Football Game Preview: Corbin Redhounds vs. Johnson Central Golden Eagles

The Corbin Redhounds will take on the Johnson Central Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Corbin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Frederick Douglass, who was ranked tenth at the time (Corbin was ranked 19th). The Redhounds lost 28-7 to the Broncos last Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Redhounds have suffered since September 20, 2024.

Meanwhile, Johnson Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Boyd County.

This is the second loss in a row for Corbin and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Johnson Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Corbin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Johnson Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. Will the Redhounds repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
