Basketball Recap: Niagara-Wheatfield Comes Up Short

Niagara-Wheatfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lewiston-Porter Lancers, falling 58-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Lancers since January 7, 2020.

Niagara-Wheatfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lewiston-Porter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Niagara-Wheatfield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Tonawanda at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Lewiston-Porter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-53 victory against Buffalo Academy of Science on the 31st.
