Basketball Recap: Southern Christian Comes Up Short

Southern Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Lakeside School Chiefs and fell 60-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since January 25th.

Jedd Scott and Gabriel Decker certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Scott went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points, while Decker posted eight points along with seven boards and four steals. Decker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

Lakeside School's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Southern Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LaGrange Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Lakeside School, they will square off against Citizens Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
