Softball Recap: Payette Takes a Loss

New Plymouth hit Payette with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates came up short against the Pilgrims, falling 10-3. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 12-5 to the Pilgrims when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Payette's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Plymouth, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, New Plymouth will be playing at home against Declo at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Payette will be paying especially close attention to the Pilgrims' game: after the Pilgrims face off against Jerome, they'll take on Payette again at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
