Basketball Recap: Brethren Takes a Loss

Brethren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 55-33 to the Onekama Portagers. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Portagers are ranked 172nd).

Brethren's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Onekama, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brethren Bobcats challenge the Frankfort Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Onekama has already played their next game (against Buckley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
