Basketball Recap: Ky'sier Ludvig's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Spring Grove over Milton Hershey

Spring Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milton Hershey Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Spartans are ranked 131st).

Spring Grove's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ky'Sier Ludvig, who posted seven points and three steals. That's the most steals Ludvig has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dominick Pierre, who earned five points and seven rebounds.

Spring Grove's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Milton Hershey, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

As of now, neither Spring Grove nor Milton Hershey have any future games scheduled.
