Staunton has gone 6-1 against Pana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Staunton's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Pana's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Staunton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Gillespie, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Miners by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season the Bulldogs have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Pana's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Southwestern by a score of 6-5.

Izzy Reed made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Brianna Mathis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 14-3. As for Pana, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-1.

Staunton took their win against Pana in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
