Softball Game Preview: Stuttgart Ricebirds vs. Trumann Wildcats

For the second straight game, Stuttgart will face off against Trumann. The Ricebirds will head out to take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stuttgart has given up an average of 17.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stuttgart managed to slip by Trumann the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Ricebirds lost 24-7 to the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Bethany Woodell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hali Watkins, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Trumann's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Stuttgart, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
