Lapel never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Elwood on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Everman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Delaney Balser and Laylah Gore did most of the damage at the plate: Balser went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, while Gore went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Balser a new career-high.

Lapel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-10.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Lapel struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard came up short against Lapel in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 7-3. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
