Sacred Heart Prep's Matt Odell recorded the longest rushing play in Peninsula - Bay this season in his game against King's Academy last week. Odell ran for 70 yards on the play and finished with 70 on the day as his team topped the Knights.
Terra Nova moved up to 105 from 142 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers were able to move up by beating Salinas 38-13.
Anthony Gordon threw for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 24-47 with 2 interceptions.
Ben Burr-Kirven was a key player and the best on defense this week as Sacred Heart Prep defeated King's Academy. The 6-foot-1 junior.
Isiah Nash was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 159 yards on 8 carries as Menlo-Atherton beat the Cowboys. Tyrique Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.
Bill Gray's team's Gordon and Jaylen Jones led Peninsula - Bay in both passing and receiving yards. Gordon has thrown for 1,316 yards this season, while Jones, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 22 catches for 536 yards. The Bears' Nash leads the league in rushing yards with 469.
The Tigers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Salinas, 38-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for Terra Nova.
