Baseball Game Preview: Parkland Mustangs vs. R.J. Reynolds Demons

Parkland is on a 13-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and R.J. Reynolds a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Parkland Mustangs will welcome the R.J. Reynolds Demons at 6:00 p.m. Parkland has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Parkland lost 15-2 to East Forsyth on Friday.

Meanwhile, R.J. Reynolds came up short against Glenn on Friday and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Demons have lost by exactly four runs.

R.J. Reynolds saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Storm Christian, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Christian has posted since back in March of 2024.

R.J. Reynolds' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Parkland might still be hurting after the 18-0 defeat they got from R.J. Reynolds in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Parkland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
