West Franklin waltzed into their match  on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chase County Bulldogs  a   16-0 shutout. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Maverick Moody made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run. That's the most  hits  he has posted  over his last 12  games.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Gunnar McMahan, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted  over his last 13  matches. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zeek Dowd, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
