Basketball Game Preview: Normal Community Ironmen vs. Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs

The Normal Community Ironmen will face off against the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Normal Community is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Saturday, Normal Community didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Metamora, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mahomet-Seymour, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They breezed by Pontiac to the tune of 76-42 on Saturday. That looming 76-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Mahomet-Seymour pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Normal Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Normal Community beat Mahomet-Seymour 56-43 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Normal Community repeat their success, or does Mahomet-Seymour have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
