Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Maple Valley

The Perry Ramblers are taking a road trip to take on the Maple Valley Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Perry was handed a nine-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They beat Bath by a goal, winning 3-2. The game was the first time Perry have beaten Bath on their pitch since September 21, 2022.

Meanwhile, Maple Valley can bid farewell to their eight-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. Neither they nor Bronson could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for Maple Valley as the team haven't won a game since September 2nd.

Perry's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-2. Maple Valley's draw makes their record 3-10-1 this season.

Perry took their win against Maple Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 7-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
