McCook Central/Montrose's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Baltic Bulldogs as they made off with  a  19-8 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Fighting Cougars considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
McCook Central/Montrose let  Ashtyn Deknikker and  Mya Morrison run wild. Deknikker  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs, while  Morrison  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  triple. That  home run was  Deknikker's first of the season.  Cami McGuire was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 McCook Central/Montrose  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baltic only posted  an  OBP of  .393.
The  win  got McCook Central/Montrose back to even at 2-2. As for Baltic,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-4.
 Coming up, McCook Central/Montrose will challenge Parker at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Baltic, they will head out to  take on Sioux Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cossacks have averaged an impressive 8  runs per game this season.
