Recap: Troy Warriors vs. Monrovia Wildcats

On Friday, Troy earned a 41-28 win over Monrovia. Troy pushed the score to 34-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Monrovia cut but never quite recovered from.

Troy found their leader in underclassman Ethan Mundt, who rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Kai healey, who gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Ellison, who picked up 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ellison hasn't dropped below 100 receiving yards for four straight games. Brian Salazar Jr was another key contributor, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns.

Troy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Monrovia, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monrovia also has no future games currently scheduled.
