Basketball Recap: Norwayne's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Norwayne was the 61-52 winner over Canton Central Catholic when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell 70-62 to the Crusaders on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Bobcats still had to take the loss.

Norwayne lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brendan Hall, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Jaxson Gasser was another key player, shooting 60% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Norwayne's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2. As for Canton Central Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Norwayne will face off against Waynedale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton Central Catholic will take on Perry in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
