Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Prep Academy Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Lighthouse Prep Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Christian Fellowship 56-20. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Caroline Forker was Lighthouse Prep Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Ariya Barton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists for Christian Fellowship. Those 11 assists gave Barton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Kate Bradley, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Christian Fellowship, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Lighthouse Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
