Basketball Game Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Carl Hayden Community Falcons

The Mountain Pointe Pride will challenge the Carl Hayden Community Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Mountain Pointe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, Mountain Pointe earned an 84-73 win over Desert Mountain.

Meanwhile, Carl Hayden Community waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Roughriders 79-61. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Roughriders are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain Pointe is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Carl Hayden Community, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.
