Basketball Recap: Tyee Mason's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Morgan Park Academy over British International School of Chicago

Morgan Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of British International School of Chicago. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced British International School of Chicago earlier this season, when they won 59-44.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyee Mason, who posted 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ivan Fullilove, who went 7 for 15 en route to 14 points and four steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead British International School of Chicago to victory, but perhaps none more so than Oliver Hogue, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. That's the most points Hogue has posted since back in January of 2024. Jonah Saul was another key player, putting up 20 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Morgan Park Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for British International School of Chicago, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Morgan Park Academy has already played their next matchup, a 70-39 win against Waldorf on the 15th. As for British International School of Chicago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-35 loss against Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park on the 13th.
