Soccer Game Preview: Dixon vs. Livingston

The Dixon Rams will challenge the Livingston Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Dixon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Hughson a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 13 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Hughson from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Cooper Ngo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Livingston had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Warriors. Give Wolves' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Dixon pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matches. As for Livingston, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Dixon came up short against Livingston in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Dixon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
