Fort Gibson won the last time they faced Catoosa and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Tigers blew past the Indians, posting  a  49-14 win. The Tigers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough  points banked to take the game anyway.
Fort Gibson found their leader in sophomore  Karrson Davis, who threw for 182 yards and two  TDs on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 33 yards. The Tigers also got help from  Brody Hansen, who showed off his sure hands for 82  receiving yards.
 Fort Gibson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Eric Shannon Jr. and  Chase Meissner. Fort Gibson received some extra help from  Alex Vafeas, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Fort Gibson has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Catoosa,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fort Gibson will  square off against  rival Cushing  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 31st. Meanwhile, Catoosa is set to  take on  their familiar foe Miami  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 31st.
