Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. Concord Minutemen
The Kennedy Titans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Concord Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kennedy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Washington 92-57. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 765th, while Washington is ranked 266th).
Meanwhile, Concord had to suffer through a rough 65-24 loss at the hands of Clayton Valley Charter. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Concord has scored all season.
Kennedy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Concord, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Kennedy was able to grind out a solid victory over Concord when the teams last played back in December of 2019, winning 62-54. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Concord's Zach Schaffer, who scored 19 points. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Kennedy to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
