Orange County falls despite big games from Chloe Hebert and Laney Fayard

Recap: Orange County Fighting Hornets vs. Western Albemarle Warriors

After a string of three wins, the Orange County Fighting Hornets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their rough 57-31 defeat to Western Albemarle might stick with them for a while. Orange County lost against Western Albemarle in their previous head to head last Tuesday, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 46-43 score last time.

Laney Fayard and Chloe Hebert certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Fayard scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, while Hebert scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Hebert has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hearl, who scored six points.

Orange County's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Western Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Orange County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Western Albemarle also has no future games currently scheduled.
